Colorado Victory Riders Association |
URL: http://www.c-vra.com/ Type of Site: Donated Time Project Description: The C-VRA is a group of Victory Motorcycle Riders based in the state of Colorado. Their existing site was only IE compatible and had a choke point of only being updateable by one member. I created this site in Joomla and created detailed video tutorials to train the three other administrators on how to update and add content to the site. I also created tutorials for the users so they would know what functions were available in the new site format. |

Kevin Lasit |

URL: http://www.lasit.com/ Type of Site: Professional Contract Project Description: Kevin has been acting professionally in the San Francisco Bay Area for twenty years. He has been featured on television shows, independent movies, commercials, industrials, and voice over work. He also is a SAG script writer and had a need to showcase his work. He wanted a site where he could blog (both in text and using video) about his writing and acting experiences with no html experience. His budget was limited but his need for function was high, so I used JOOMLA to create his site. He also was concerned about web stats being accessible and understandable as well as having search engine placement based on content and specific keywords. I implemented XML site mapping and Google Webmaster Tools for him as well as configured a user friendly blogging system and "how-to" video tutorials using Camtasia. |

PROJAM |
URL: http://www.planetavp.com/projam/ Type of Site: Personal Project Project Description: The story of PROJAM spans approximately three years, starting around December of 2001. I was a well-known web designer, small business owner and avid gamer who wanted to combine my passion and skill for those things. I started a video game mod project for Fox's Aliens vs. Predator 2, which became the best known mod for the game in its history. The project required intense Photoshop work, scripting in the LithTech game engine and managing an international team using email, version control software, and VOIP. To date, PROJAM 4 (the 4th and final release of the mod) has been downloaded over 16,000 times. To read more visit the site. |

You can find some of my older works through the "wayback machine," however please realize the date of these projects when you view them as I've been doing this since 1994 and the web has evolved quickly. Here are a few of my higher profile clients (all links are to current client sites): Client: California Lottery History: When I started Web Spinners VMC with my partner, we were committed to working with large companies or not doing it at all. We figured if we couldn't land a large account then we shouldn't quit our day jobs. The California Lottery was one of the first companies we approached along with Pizza Hut, Firebricks of Hollywood, and Logitech. Within two months of starting Web Spinners we had won the bid for the California Lottery site. The site pulled the actual winning numbers from one database and posted it to the site. Now a days that's no big deal, but back in 1996 it was complicated and expensive. Web Spinners VMC won the CA Lottery contract every year there after until we ultimately closed our doors to return to industry after heavy pursuit by recruiters within PeopleSoft and Knight Ridder.
Client: Best Fertilizer (J.R. Simplot) History: Contacted due to our notoriety in the industry, J.R. Simplot approached us with a need to develop a site that would help their consumers with the use of their fertilizer products. We worked closely with them to gather requirements and data and created a site that exceeded their expectations.
Client: Arco Arena & Sacramento Knights History: After working with IS Inc. on the CA Lottery project, they turned us on to the Arco Arena folks. We ended up creating content rich sites for not only the arena but their indoor soccer team the Knights.
Client: VoicePro History: San Ramon, CA. based VoicePro was one of my best professional relationships to date. Working with them was a pleasure and together we created a business-to-business portal that complimented their marketing efforts. They were so happy with our work that they had us back to do a site face lift on two separate occasions and signed a maintenance contract with us for on going site support. Even after Web Spinners VMC was closed, I continued to support them until their VP of Operations left the company in 2001. |
